The New York Knicks secured a dominant 116-95 win over the Miami Heat on Monday night, but the game saw an unexpected delay when comedian Tracy Morgan vomited courtside at Madison Square Garden.
Morgan, a longtime Knicks fan, was sitting near the court when he suddenly became ill, throwing up in front of him. The incident, which remains unexplained, caused a roughly 10-minute stoppage. He was later wheeled out of the arena, appearing unable to stand and with a nosebleed. His current condition remains unclear.
The 56-year-old comedian, best known for his roles on Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, has faced serious health challenges in the past, including a kidney transplant in 2010 and a near-fatal car accident in 2014. However, it’s uncertain whether this episode is related to his prior medical history or if he simply fell sick.
Despite the unusual delay, the Knicks bounced back from an early deficit, outscoring Miami 41-15 in the third quarter before cruising to the 21-point win. Mikal Bridges led the charge with 28 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 23 points and seven rebounds.
New York, now 43-24 on the season, will face the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night in Texas.
